Apple has declared the iPhone 5c as a vintage product marking the end of support for the handset. The iPhone 5c was recently added to Apple's list of vintage and obsolete products.

Apple launched the iPhone 5c back in 2013 as its first ‘affordable' iPhone. It came in a plastic body, and in five colour options of green, blue, yellow, coral and white. The iPhone 5c borrowed the design and internals from the iPhone 5. Apple will no longer provide support for the iPhone 5c but its owners can still get them repaired from the company's service providers as long as parts are available.

Apple defines vintage products as “those that have not been sold for more than 5 and less than 7 years ago.” As for obsolete products, Apple counts “those whose sales were discontinued more than 7 years ago.” iPhone 5c has been declared a vintage product and not an obsolete one. iPhone 5c joins iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5C in the list of vintage iPhone products. Among the list of obsolete iPhone products, some models of the iPhone 4 and from iPhone 3GS and below have been listed.

Coming back to the iPhone 5c, it has a 4-inch LCD display. iPhone 5c launched with iOS 7, and it is upgradable till iOS 10.3.3. It runs the dual-core Apple A6 chipset with up to 32GB of internal storage. iPhone 5c has an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. Apple launched the iPhone 5c in India at a starting price of 41,900.
