A TikToker has recently revealed a hidden iPhone feature that can prove very useful for users in day-to-day life. TikToker @scottpolderman has shown how the iPhone settings can help iOS users to filter out unwanted spam messages. In the 15-second video, the user can be seen saying, "Here's an iPhone trick I bet you didn't know, number 18." The post captioned "iPhone Trick" shows Polderman going to device's Settings and then selecting Messages. He then scrolled all the way to the bottom and ticked Filter Unknown Senders.

The TikTok video has gone viral, garnering more than 57,000 likes and 2,368 comments. Though Polderman has explained the process briefly, you can read the step-by-step guide to filter unwanted spam messages here

How to filter spam messages on iPhone

Step 1: Open your iPhone's settings and go to the Message tab to open the message menu.

Step 2: Next, turn on the ‘filter unknown senders' in the menu slide. Once done, no unknown spam message will be received in your primary mailing lists.

You can install spam filters apps to block unwanted spam on your iPhone. These applications have features like detecting spam, filtering the emails to help the user to block the junk emails or delete them. These apps also prevent new spam emails coming to your inbox to improve the filtering process.

The third trick to block Junk Email in your iPhone is blocking spam mails in individual mail apps like Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, etc.To do this you'll have to login to the desktop version of your individual mail apps and blocking the spam message sender one by one by opening each of the mails separately. Once you ‘block the sender,' the person can never send you spam mail again in future.

You can also avoid junk mails by marking the spam and then flagging the mail in iCloud mail.
