iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro CONFIRMED for India, launching soon
iQOO 9 series is coming to India very soon, confirms iQOO in an official teaser.
iQOO came a solid re-entry into the Indian market with the iQOO 7 series last year. This year, they are following it up with the iQOO 9 series, a high-end series that has already launched in China. The Indian teaser shows two models similar to the global lineup but there's a difference. One of them is same iQOO 9 Pro as the global model while the other model appears to be a rebadged iQOO 8.
iQOO India is currently teasing all the features of what appears to be the iQOO 9 Pro. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is confirmed and there's a possibility that this could be the first phone in India to get Qualcomm's latest chip. iQOO is also bringing the 120W fast charging to the country as well.
iQOO 9 series teased, coming soon
Apart from the chip and charging, iQOO has also confirmed the 4700mAh capacity battery. A dual X-axis linear haptic motor is also present on the iQOO 9 Pro.
The biggest revelation, however, is iQOO revealing the design of these phones. The iQOO 9 Pro is getting the BMW M motorsport treatment similar to the one on last year's iQOO 7 Legend. Other than a “Fascination Meets Innovation” tag, the photo also shows a triple camera system and Vivo's Gimbal Stabilization system present.
The “standard” iQOO 9 has a design similar to previous iQOO 8 series. This has a comparatively “smaller” camera hump holding three cameras on the rear. This one sheds the BMW M motorsport colours in favour of a grey textured rear. This phone also gets the Gimbal Stabilization System as well.
What remains to be seen is what the iQOO 9 ends up costing in India and what will the chipset of choice. We expect the phone to feature the Snapdragon 888 chipset, the 120W charging, a 48MP+13MP+12MP, and a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
