iQOO says the iQOO Z6 will be the most powerful phone under Rs. 15,000 (iQOO)

The iQOO Z6 5G is going to be iQOO's next affordable phone, and probably its cheapest phone in India ever! Soon after releasing its teaser on Amazon, iQOO India has now released a video that talks about its specifications and features. And based on what we have seen so far, it seems like a modified variant of the Vivo T1 5G; an affordable Vivo phone that launched last month as the country's most affordable phone with the Snapdragon 695 chip.

In fact, the iQOO seems to undercut it too. On its video header, iQOO says it will be the most powerful phone under Rs. 15,000! That puts it far above every other phone at its price segment. The teaser also reveals the specs and features, with the herp aspect being the Snapdragon 695 5G chip. iQOO is also offering a 120Hz refresh rate display with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

iQOO Z6 5G humbles Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus

With this announcement, the iQOO Z6 is bound to be the most affordable phone using the Snapdragon 695 chip in India. This is in sharp contrast to the Snapdragon 695-powered Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus, which is currently selling at a starting price of Rs. 20,999. The iQOO Z6 also undercuts the Motorola Moto G71 5G that costs Rs. 18,999.

That said, the lower price also brings loads of compromises in other key areas. Both the Moto and Redmi phones offer AMOLED displays, with the latter offering a 120Hz refresh rate panel. The Moto G71 offers 33W fast charging whereas the Redmi comes with a 67W fast wired charging solution. If the iQOO Z6 is based on the Vivo T1 5G, it will only use an 18W charging solution.

Additionally, the nomenclature is slightly confusing. The iQOO Z5 5G is the most powerful Z series smartphone starting at Rs. 23,999, whereas the iQOO Z3 starts at Rs. 19,999. Logically, people expect the iQOO Z6 to be the more powerful version of the same.

The iQOO Z6 launch is coming hot on the heels of the iQOO 9 series launch in India. The iQOO 9 Pro is the flagship model in the entire iQOO range, getting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and the flagship Samsung 50MP GN5 main camera sensor.
