Oppo A12 budget phone launched in India: Check specs, price

Oppo A12 first made its debut in April, and it is now official in India.

Oppo on Monday launched a new budget smartphone in India. Oppo A12 comes with dual rear cameras, a 4,230mAh battery and up to 4GB of RAM.

Oppo A12 starts at 9,990 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It also comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which carries a price tag of 11,490. The smartphone has two colour options of blue and black. On the Oppo A12, customers get 6 months extended warranty, no cost EMI upto 6 months on credit card and debit card EMIs.

In terms of specs, Oppo A12 features a 6.22-inch HD display with a notch on top. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s P35 processor. It also has a microSD card slot that supports up to 256GB of expandable storage.

The dual-camera setup features a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It has a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. Some of its camera features include portrait styles, AI beautification and dazzle color mode for photos clicked in poor lighting conditions.

On the software front, it runs ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9 Pie. Some features on the phone include riding mode that blocks unimportant calls and notifications, smart assistant for different services and a smart sidebar. Oppo A12 is fuelled by a 4,230mAh battery. It also sports a rear fingerprint sensor in addition to face unlock.
