Oppo A53 price slashed in retail stores: Here's how much it costs now
Oppo A53 launched last year in August as the company's first budget phone with a 90Hz refresh rate.


Oppo has reportedly slashed the price of its A53 smartphone in retail stores. Oppo A53 launched in India last year in August at a starting price of ₹12,990. The smartphone now costs ₹10,990 for the base model, according to a report by 91mobiles. The online price appears to remain unaffected by the change.
Oppo A53 also comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. This variant earlier priced at ₹15,490 is now available at a reduced price of ₹12,990. The smartphone comes in three colour options of Electric Black, Fairy White and Fancy Blue. Oppo A53 launched as the company's first budget smartphone with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also comes with up to 120Hz touch sampling rate.
The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a punch-hole selfie camera. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Oppo A53 packs a 5,000mAh battery with an 18W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android 10-based ColorOS.
Oppo A53 sports as many as three rear cameras. The configuration includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phone comes with a bunch of software-level optimisations as well. For instance, it has a RAM+ Anti-lag Memory Optimisation for a smoother experience.
After the Oppo A53, the company has also launched its 5G variant, and most recently the A53s 5G.
