Oppo A53 with 90Hz display to launch in India on August 25

Oppo has announced the launch of a new smartphone in India. Oppo A53 that just made its debut in Indonesia will now launch in India on August 25. The new Oppo smartphone will be priced under ₹15,000.
Oppo A53 is scheduled to launch on August 25 at 12:30 pm. The launch event will be live streamed via Oppo's official YouTube page. Oppo has already revealed the smartphone will be priced under ₹15,000 in India. Oppo A53 is priced at IDR 2,499,000 in Indonesia which translates to roughly ₹12,700. The smartphone comes in only one variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has two colour options of ‘Fancy Blue' and ‘Electric Black' with a gradient finish.
Oppo A53 is also the first smartphone to launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 460 processor. It comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD display with 90Hz refresh rate. On the software front, Oppo A53 runs ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10.

For photography, Oppo A53 sports a triple camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel, and two 2-megapixel sensors. There's a 16-megapixel camera up front for selfies. The smartphone is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging speed. Oppo A53 also comes with a USB Type-C port, rear fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Oppo A53 will be one of the most affordable phones offering a 90Hz display. It will join the Realme 6i which also comes with a FHD+ 90Hz display and starts at ₹12,999.
