Oppo F17 Pro has an official launch date, here’s what you need to know about the phone

Oppo F17 Pro will launch in India next month. Here are expected specifications and key features of the upcoming premium smartphone.

Oppo on Wednesday officially announced the launch date of its F17 Pro. The new premium smartphone will land in India on September 2. The launch event is scheduled to begin at 7 PM IST. It will be streamed live on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Oppo has been building hype around its new phone for quite some time. The company has also revealed some of the key features of the phone ahead of the official launch. Oppo F17 Pro will come with an ultra-slim design, featuring 7.48mm thickness. It weighs about 164 grams.

The company has also revealed some of its camera features. The F17 Pro will sport a quad-rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor. On the front, it will have a dual-camera setup featuring a 16-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

“…Beyond offering just clearer portraits, F17 Pro empowers users to express their creativity through photography with AI Color Portrait that combines a bokeh effect and a lowlight HDR algorithm to brighten up photos in dimly lit environment. The F17 Pro also features OPPO's AI Beautification 2.0 that is customized for Indian beauty preference and preserves natural skin tones,” Oppo had said in a release.

Oppo has not officially revealed full specifications of the phone as yet. According to rumours, F17 Pro will have a large 6.43-inch display with full HD+ resolution. It will run on Android 10. For performance, the phone is likely to run on MediaTek Helio P95 octa-core processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage. It will have a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
