Poco will soon launch a 5G-capable smartphone in India. According to rumours, the company would launch a Poco M3 Pro 5G, which is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 5G. The phone appears to be inching closer to an official launch, as it has been spotted on Thailand's certification website.

According to Gizmochina, the handset was earlier spotted on certification sites such as the FCC and SIRIM. These listings had confirmed a resemblance to the Redmi Note 10 5G. The handset has also been spotted on India's BIS site.

If the leaks are correct, the handset will come with a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

It is also said to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It will house an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. Poco M3 Pro could come with a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. On the software front, Poco M3 Pro will run MIUI 12 out-of-the-box.

Separately, Poco is said to launch a gaming phone in India. The handset is said to be repackaged version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which recently launched in China.

The latest Redmi phone has a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with HDR 10+ support, 10-bit colours, DCI-P3 coverage, 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate.

The handset runs on MediaTek's latest Dimensity 1200 processor coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage. It features a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box. The gaming phone comes with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
