Poco M4 Pro is the newest Poco device with eerily familiar specs, enticing prices

At the Mobile World Congress 2022 or MWC 2022, Poco unveiled two new smartphones - Poco M4 Pro and Poco X4 Pro 5G. The Poco M4 Pro will be available in India starting March 7. However, the Poco X4 Pro 5G has not been launched in India yet. At the MWC event, Kevin Qiu, General Manager of Poco global came on stage to introduce the two smartphones' price and specifications. Qiu began the event by announcing that Poco sold around 23 million smartphones through the six mobiles launched in 2021 which include Poco F3, F3 GT, X3 Pro, M3 Pro 5G, X3 GT and M4 Pro 5G.

Do note that while shoppers in India will not see the Poco X4 Pro 5G model, Poco M4 Pro will be available to buy starting March 7, 12 PM onwards. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart. Further, there is an introductory bank offer on the smartphone which will be available for a limited time period. Poco M4 Pro price and specifications

The Poco M4 Pro features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes equipped with MediaTek Helio G96, which was also seen in Redmi Note 11S. The smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup with 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it flaunts a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone runs Android 11 based MIUI 13 OS.

The Poco M4 Pro is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery which comes with a 33W fast charging support. The smartphone also has IR Blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack and dual speakers.

The smartphone comes in 3 variants. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 14,999. Similarly, the 6GB + 128GB variant will be available for Rs. 16,499 and 8GB+128GB for Rs. 17,999 respectively. Additionally, there is an introductory offer as mentioned earlier. Consumers can get a flat Rs. 1,000 discount on using HDFC bank cards. This will bring the price of the 6GB+64GB variant at Rs. 13,999, 6GB+128GB at Rs. 15,499, and 8GB+128GB at Rs. 16,999.

Poco X4 Pro 5G price and specifications

The Poco X4 Pro 5G was also unveiled at the event. However, it will not be available in India. The smartphone is a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and according to rumors, it will launch as Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, which is why X4 Pro is not being launched in India.

But for the interested, these are the specifications of the smartphone. It features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Snapdragon 695 chipset which we have recently seen in Motorola G71 and Vivo T1 5G. Just like M4 Pro, it also has a triple rear camera setup where its primary camera is a 104MP along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the flipside, it comes with a 16MP selfie camera.

The Poco X4 Pro 5G is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery and a 67W fast charging support. Apart from IR Blasters and 3.5mm headphone jack, the smartphone also supports NFC. The smartphone will have up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.

While the price does not matter as it won't be available in India, it can help interested readers estimate the price of upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at €299 (around ₹25,200). The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at €349 (around ₹29,500).
