Realme is gearing up for the launch of Realme 7 series in India. Scheduled to launch on September 3, the new series will feature at least two devices, Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro. The new phones will compete with Xiaomi's popular Redmi Note 9 series which starts at ₹11,999.

Ahead of the official launch, Realme has begun building hype around the new phones through a bunch of teasers on its social media channels. Here is what we know about the new phones so far.

Performance

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed the new smartphone series will launch with the ‘world's first processor.' In one of the teaser, Sheth is seen playing a video game on the upcoming phone. The game runs smoothly on the phone.

Another performance-related feature is going to be fast charging technology. Sheth said that Realme 7 series will debut with India's fastest charging technology alongside the world's first processor.

Realme claims the phone has bagged over 300,000 points on AnTuTu benchmarking platform. The chip is also said to outperform MediaTek's Helio G85 and Helio G90T chips.

Camera

Realme 7 series will come with a 64-megapixel camera. According to the company, the phone will feature the second generation of a 64-megapixel sensor. The company also hinted at software optimisations to make the most of the upgraded 64-megapixel camera system.

According to Flipkart, Realme 7 will feature 64-megapixel primary sensor (Sony), 119-degree Ultra wide-angle lens, 4cm macro lens, and portrait lens. The camera is said to deliver “4X larger resolution than 4K TV.”

Design

According to Realme, the upcoming phone will come with a punch-hole camera design. This will be a big design change for Realme's budget offerings which have offered dewdrop cut-outs.

Launch and availability

As said earlier, Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro will launch on September 3. The phones are going to be available online via Flipkart. Ahead of the official launch, the phones are already listed on the e-commerce date.
