Realme is gearing up for the launch of a new 5G smartphone later this month. Called Realme 8 5G, the phone is said to be the rebranded version of the V13 5G.
Scheduled to launch on April 21, Realme Thailand has released a short teaser clip that gives a closer look at the design. The phone is seen sporting a rectangular camera module on the back. The clip does not show the front, but it's said to have a punch-hole cut-out on the display. According to a GSMArena report, Realme 8 5G will come with an NFC chip, which is not available on the V13 5G.
That said, Realme V13 5G had debuted last month alongside Realme GT Neo. The handset is available in China for a starting price of CNY 1,599 ( ₹17,800 approximately). It comes in two colour options of black and blue.
Realme V13 5G sports a 6.5-inch display with full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, and 180 touch sampling. The LCD panel delivers 600 nits of peak brightness. The punch-hole cut-out on the front houses an 8-megapixel camera.
On the back, Realme V13 5G has a triple-camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The phone is available in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB RAM and storage combinations. On the software front, it has Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
For connectivity, the smartphone supports Bluetooth 5.1, dual-SIM, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
