Realme 8 5G to go on sale today for the first time
Realme 8 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM and triple rear cameras.
Realme 8 5G will be available to purchase for the first time today in India. Realme 8 5G launched in India earlier this week as the company's latest affordable 5G smartphone. It's also the first phone with MediaTek's Dimensity 700 5G chipset to launch in India. The Realme 8 5G sale is scheduled to take place today at 12 pm on realme.com, Flipkart and mainline channels.
Realme 8 5G starts at ₹14,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and this variant is priced at ₹16,999. The smartphone comes in two colour options of Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black.
In terms of specs, Realme 8 5G features a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and Dragontrail Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also has UFS 2.1 storage, and expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card. It also features Dynamic RAM expansion which the company says increases the device's RAM capacity to 5GB and 11 GB respectively.
Realme 8 5G has a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone also packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual standby 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C port.
