Realme 8 5G with Dimensity 700 chipset to launch in India soon
Realme has teased the launch of India's first phone with the MediaTek Dimesnity 700 5G chipset.
Realme 8 5G is scheduled to launch on April 21 in Thailand. The smartphone is expected to arrive in India as well according to the company's latest teaser. Realme has teased the launch of the first MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G-powered phone in India. It hasn't revealed the phone's name but Realme 8 5G will reportedly feature this chipset.
A teaser page on Flipkart of the upcoming Realme 5G phone highlights the MediaTek chipset which is built on the 7nm process and is said to be 28% more power efficient than 8nm. The chipset can be clocked up to 2.2GHz and is paired with ARM Mali-G57 GPU. Realme is yet to reveal more specifications of the phone. But we do have an idea on what to expect based on its Geekbench listing.
Realme 8 5G has been listed with 8GB of RAM and a full HD+ display. The smartphone will also run Android 11 out-of-the-box. Realme 8 5G is also expected to be a rebranded version of the Realme V13 5G that launched in China. Going by this speculation, Realme 8 5G will come with a 6.5-inch display with full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone features an 8-megapixel camera, and a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Realme V13 5G also on a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The phone is available in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB RAM and storage combinations. On the software front, it has Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
