Redmi 9 to Oppo A53, smartphones launching in India next week

Gionee Max, new Motorola smartphone and Nokia 5.3 are also in the list of launches for next week.

The next week is going to be a packed one with back-to-back smartphone launches in India. A total of five smartphone launches are scheduled to take place from brands like Nokia, Xiaomi and Motorola.

HMD Global has teased the launch of Nokia 5.3 in India but the launch date hasn't been revealed. It has however sent press invites for a briefing on August 25 which is expected to be of the Nokia 5.3. Oppo is also bringing its new A53 smartphone on the same itself. One interesting launch we'll see on August 25 is the comeback of Gionee with its new ‘Max' smartphone. Moving on, there are two launches scheduled for August 27 where one is for the Redmi 9. Motorola will also launch its new smartphone on August 24.

Let's take a look at all the upcoming phones in India.

Redmi 9

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi 9 smartphone in India on August 27. It's expected to be the Redmi 9C that has already made its debut. Redmi 9 is however said to come with dual rear cameras and not triple like the Redmi 9C. Based on that speculation, the smartphone will come with a 6.53-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G35 processor with up to 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Redmi 9 will also pack a 5,000mAh battery and run MIUI 12 based on Android 10.

Nokia 5.3

Nokia 5.3 will finally arrive in India after its debut in Europe. The smartphone costs 189 euros which translates to roughly 16,800. Nokia 5.3 has a 6.55-inch HD+ display, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 3GB, 4GB and 6GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 64GB of internal storage, and it packs a 4,000mAh battery. Nokia 5.3 sports a quad-camera setup with a 13-megapixel, 2-megapixel depth sensor, 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, there's an 8-megapixel camera up front.

Oppo A53 2020

Oppo A53 has been made official in Indonesia, and the smartphone will now launch in India. Oppo has already revealed that the smartphone will be priced under 15,000. It comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 460 processor. Oppo A53 features a 6.5-inch HD display with 90Hz refresh rate. It has a triple camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors. Oppo A53 also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Motorola

Motorola has been teasing the launch of its new phone without dropping any hints. It is however expected to be the Moto E7 Plus that has been appearing on leaks quite recently. Moto E7 Plus is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 460 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. It could sport a 48-megapixel dual camera setup, USB Type-C port and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Gionee Max

Gionee is making a comeback in the Indian smartphone market. Gionee Max has already been listed on Flipkart with some of its key details revealed. Gionee Max will be priced under 6,000, and it will come with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The smartphone will feature a 6.1-inch HD+ notched display, and pack a 5,000mAh battery.
