Redmi earlier this week launched its first-ever gaming phone, Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. The phone is so far available in China. There is no official word on when the phone will be available in other markets. A new leak, however, says the phone is coming to India soon but with Poco branding.

According to leakster Kacper Skrzypek, the handset would launch in India as Poco F3 GT. Skrzypek found references of a device with model number “M2104K10I” in MIUI 12, reports Techradar.

If the leak is true, Poco F3 GT will replace Poco X3 Pro as the premium and flagship from the company. The X3 Pro is available in India for a starting price of 18,999. The phone comes with high-end specs like Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor, 120Hz display, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, and 48-megapixel quad-camera.

As far as the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition goes, the phone has a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with HDR 10+ support, 10-bit colours, DCI-P3 coverage, 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate.

It runs on MediaTek's latest Dimensity 1200 processor coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box. The gaming phone features a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, X-axis linear vibration motor, VC LiquidCool technology + white graphene, Dual 5G standby, Dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, JBL certification, and Wi-Fi 6.
