Samsung's next Galaxy A-series smartphone could be the Galaxy A72. This smartphone has been spotted on leaks and reports quite frequently now. The latest leak suggests Galaxy A72 will feature a quad-camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera.

Galaxy A72 was previously rumoured to feature a penta-camera setup, making it a first for a Samsung phone. But it looks like that rumour isn't true, and the Galaxy A72 will have four rear cameras, according to a report by Galaxy Club. Accompanying the 64-megapixel primary sensor will be a 12-megapixel wide angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.

The report added that the Galaxy A72 will be offered in 4G and 5G variants. The smartphone's leaked renders show a punch-hole camera, and a glass back and an aluminum frame. There's also a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille at the bottom. Galaxy A72 is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch flat display.

Samsung is planning more Galaxy A-series smartphones, and these include the Galaxy A32 and Galaxy A52. Both of these smartphones are also said to come with support for 5G. Samsung will most likely launch the new Galaxy A-series smartphones in January if we go by its usual schedule. Samsung also has the Galaxy S21 series launch planned for January 14. The flagship series will feature Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Looks like we'll see quite a number of new Samsung phones in a few weeks.
