Samsung Galaxy F12 with 48MP quad-camera, 90Hz display launched in India

Apart from Galaxy F02s, Samsung on Monday also launched the long-awaited Galaxy F12 handset in India. Available in two variants, the price of the new handset starts at ₹10,999. The top-end model of the phone is priced at ₹11,999. The Galaxy F12 will be available in India via Flipkart, Samsung Online Store, and select retail stores. 

Samsung Galaxy F12 comes in three colours -- Sea Green, Sky Blue and Celestial Black. The company is also offering the phone at an introductory price of ₹9,999 after an instant cashback of ₹1,000 on ICICI Bank credit cards and EMI transactions. The sale will begin on April 12.

Samsung Galaxy F12 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display. It also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and Widevine L1 certification that brings support for high-definition content on streaming platforms. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone.

The handset runs on an Exynos 850 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The phone comes in two RAM(LPDDR4X) and storage combinations – 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB.  The phone also supports expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card.

It houses a 6,000mAh battery with 15W USB Type-C support. On the software front, it runs on Android 11 out of the box with One UI 3.1 support.

The highlight of the handset is its camera configuration. The phone features a quad-camera setup on the back. It features a 48-megapixel primary sensor (ISOCELL Plus GM2), 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor (123-degree field of view), 2-megapixel depth sensor and 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
