Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition bags NFC certification, gets closer to official launch
Samsung is working on a special edition of the Galaxy S20. Here are expected specifications, features and price of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is inching closer to an official launch. We still do not have an official launch date yet but considering the recent spate leaks and rumours, it may happen sooner than expected. Latest in the series is an early appearance of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition on NFC certification website.
The listing reveals Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition sports SM-G781V and SM-G780F/DSM model numbers, reports GSMArena. The NFC certification does not reveal additional information about the long-awaited smartphone.
That said, Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website. The listing revealed the phone comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. There will be another Exynos 990 variant that will feature 8GB of RAM. The company is likely to offer more RAM and storage variants of the phone.
Samsung's upcoming special edition will come with a slightly modified design and more colour options. Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will feature at least six colour options. Leaked renders have shown peppy colours like pink, red, and gold. The colour scheme reminds of us Apple's iPhone XR colours.
Other expected specifications of S20 Fan Edition include a triple rear camera setup featuring two 12-megapixel sensors and one 8-megapixel sensor. It's likely to have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the premium edition, Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will have IP68 water and dust resistance.
The phone is rumoured to launch in South Korea in October for a price of ₹56,700 approximately (after currency conversion).
