Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition spotted with same chipset as Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition or Galaxy S20 Lite has appeared on Geekbench with the Exynos 990 chipset.
Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra with the Exynos 990 chipset. It looks like Samsung will be using the same chipset for an upcoming phone which is the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition or Galaxy S20 Lite. This smartphone has been spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition with model number SM-G780F packs 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 10. The smartphone's previous listing revealed a Snapdragon 865 chipset with 6GB of RAM. Samsung would release the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S20 Lite for the US market. Other markets including India will get the Exynos 990 edition of the Galaxy S20 Lite.

It's worth noting that this is the same chipset found in the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra phones. Only the Note 20 models in the US have the Snapdragon 865+ chipset. In India, Galaxy Note 20 is priced at ₹77,999 and Note 20 Ultra at ₹1,04,999. The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is expected to fall in the affordable premium segment since it's a ‘Lite' variant of the flagship series.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S20 FE in Q4 later this year. The smartphone has appeared in multiple leaks with its specs and even design revealed. It has a punch-hole design with an Infinity-O cutout. Galaxy S20 Lite could feature a 6.5-inch or 6.7-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to sport a triple camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor, 12-megapixel ultra wide lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.
More details on the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition include a 4,500mAh battery, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The smartphone is also said to come with 5G support.
