Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will enlarge the Cover Display that has been puny for years now. Over the years, Samsung's flip phone with a folding display has been a stylish trendsetter and Samsung has resorted to a smaller Cover Display on its Flip phones. The current Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a slightly larger 1.9-inch display that has added functionality but in terms of sheer practicality, the limitations are much higher. Things will change next year though.

Based on a new tip from analyst Ross Young from DSCC, it is said that Samsung is going to enlarge the display size on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Young says Samsung could be offering a Cover Display that could measure between 3.3 - 3.4 inches. Compared to the 1.9-inch display on the Flip 4 now, this is a much larger display and will change the way things work.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 could make use of this larger display to offer a more functional UI, offering shortcuts to crucial apps. Motorola's Razr 3 offers a 2.7-inch display that lets users do a lot of things, including the ability to run apps, YouTube videos, and even play games. With a larger canvas, Samsung could offer superior functionality on the Flip 5. Not to forget, the larger Cover Display could also provide a better viewfinder experience.

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

Young also says that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will also use a new hinge design that will reduce the crease on the folding display. Samsung's foldables have had the deepest crease for a long time and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could finally change things.

Currently, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is the only flip phone in India you can buy with a folding display. The Flip 4 with a larger 3700mAh battery now offers an all-day stamina, and its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip can handle everything with ease. The phone's hinge system also lets it to be used in a tripod mode.
