Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 may not have a slot for S Pen due to two reasons: Report
The report does state that Galaxy Z Fold 3 will still be compatible with a S Pen.
There has been enough evidence to make us believe that Samsung plans to continue making its Galaxy Fold devices for years to come. The company has already launched two generations of Galaxy Fold devices and a new report for the third-gen Galaxy Fold has now popped up. The information coming from the Naver.com website, states that the rumoured Galaxy Z Fold 3 will not be featuring a dedicated slot for the S Pen stylus.
The reasons for removing the S Pen slot are not just one, but two. As per the report, Samsung thinks that the device won't have enough space to accommodate the stylus as it will be taken by other components. The second reason is that having a slot itself will make the foldable device less resistant to dust and water. This also means that Samsung is at least considering making the rumoured Galaxy Fold 3 IP68 rated. This will still be difficult due to the hinge mechanism and if it exposes components or not.

However, the report does state that Galaxy Z Fold 3 will still be compatible with a S Pen. And in case Samsung is not able to slot the stylus inside the handset body, it will likely create special cases to accommodate it.
As per the rumours, the device is expected to launch in July this year alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 FE. Also mentioned is that the S Pen Pro that launched alongside the Galaxy S21 Ultra, will be compatible with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Some previous rumours suggest the device to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, 256GB storage and under-screen selfie camera.
