Apple CEO Tim Cook comments on Twitter after Tamil Nadu students use iPhone 13 Mini to click photos
Tamil Nadu students use iPhone 13 Mini to click photos of their communities, and get their photos featured in museum. This is what Tim Cook says
The iPhone 13 has got one of the nicest pair of cameras on a smartphone you can buy today, and Apple keeps reminding about it frequently. We have mostly seen the iPhone 13 Pro wowing crowds with its cameras in the hands of the professional photographers. This time though, it is the vanilla iPhone 13 that is putting on a show and that too, not in the hands of the some hotshot photographer. It was a bunch of school students from Tamil Nadu who show their skills, and Apple CEO Tim Cook was there to appreciate the same again.
40 students from Tamil Nadu took the smallest iPhone 13 Mini to photograph their communities and its vibrance. The photos certainly caught attention and are now displayed at the Egmore Museum in Chennai. Apple CEO Tim Cook acknowledged the same, tweeting a post via his handle, “Forty high school students from Tamil Nadu, India captured the vibrance of their communities on iPhone 13 mini. Now their work is featured in the student showcase at the historic Egmore Museum for the Chennai Photo Biennale.”

Cook also shared two photos from the exhibition, wherein one shows the children of the community while the other one is a scenery shot during sunset.
'A Land of Stories', an exhibition by 40 students from across Tamil Nadu, is now up at the Egmore Museum, Chennai until 17 April, 2022 from 9:30 PM to 5 PM. Visit the exhibition and experience Tamil Nadu through the lenses of our student artists. Join us for weekend guided tours of the exhibition to find out more about the workshops leading up to the showcase! The exhibition is also up at the Aptronix store in VR Mall, Chennai from 11 AM to 10 PM," says the Chennai Photo Biennale website.
Note that the iPhone 13 Mini shares the same set of cameras as the iPhone 13. Hence, those using the iPhone 13 Mini get the same 12MP main camera with a sensor shift stabilisation and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The phone proved its worth in our review last year, taking great looking photos in both daylight and night time. However, it misses out on the 12MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom, and the LiDAR sensor when compared to the iPhone 13 Pro.
The iPhone 13 Mini starts at Rs. 59,999 for the base variant with 128GB storage on Flipkart.
