Tecno Spark 7 Pro launched: Check key features, specifications

Tecno Mobile has quietly launched a new smartphone under its Spark 7 series. The handset is called Spark 7 Pro. The company has not disclosed when the phone will go on sale. It has not revealed the price either.

Tecno Spark 7 Pro comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G80 processor. It comes in three RAM and storage combinations – 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 4GB+128GB. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 11-based HiOS 7.5.

In the photography department, Tecno Spark 7 Pro has a triple camera setup on the back. The phone has a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The other two sensors are a depth sensor and an AI camera, according to GSMArena. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

In terms of connectivity, the handset supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG among others.

Tecno earlier this month launched the Spark 7. Available for a starting price of 7,499, the handset comes with a 6,000mAh battery, MediaTek's Helio A25 processor and up to 64GB of internal storage. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs on a quad-core MediaTek Helio A20 processor on the 2GB model. There's a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 16-megapixel primary sensor, and an AI lens. It features an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens and dual-LED flash.

The 6,000mAh battery is claimed to last for up to 40 days on standby mode. Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software front, Tecno Spark 7 runs on Android 11 with HiOS 7.5 layered on top. The 2GB model runs the Android 11 Go edition.
