Vivo Nex 5 specs tipped, may feature under-display camera and more

While all eyes right now are on the Vivo X60 smartphone series that comes with some top of the line camera specifications, the chinese tech firm is planning to bring a new Nex-series handset soon. A couple of tipsters have leaked some information about the rumoured Vivo Nex 5, which is said to arrive sometime later this year. Some specifications of the handset have also been revealed.

As per a Weibo post by a tipster named Electrical Kurologist, the Nex 5 is supposed to feature a 6.78-inch quad-curve display that supports 120Hz refresh rate. It may also have an under-display camera with a 32-megapixel sensor. It is said to feature Samsung's GN2 1/1.12-inch 50-megapixel sensor at the back with optical image stabilisation. In addition, the device might feature an ultra-wide angle camera with unspecified 50-megapixel sensor. What's more is that the rumoured handset could be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 66W wired and 40W wireless charging support.

Another tipster going by the name Bald Panda, has mentioned in a Weibo post that Vivo Nex 5 could have a 120W wired fast charging and 60W wireless fast charging. Furthermore, it states the handset could have an IP68 dust and water resistant build.

Meanwhile, some rumours about the Vivo X70 Pro+ have also come up. As per a tipster, Vivo's X70 Pro+ will feature an even larger sensor for the primary camera than the one in X60 Pro+. In addition, it may also have a bigger battery with fast charging. However, the device is said to come with the same Snapdragon 888 processor.
