The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G is the latest offering from OnePlus that has been designed for both work and play. And for a mobile photographer there is something extra- the revolutionary Hasselblad camera. This is an upgrade over the OnePlus 9 series, which was the first to introduce the Hasselblad camera.

The OnePlus 10 Pro takes this experience one notch higher with a camera system that produces professional level photos. Over the past 80 years, Hasselblad cameras have created a space for themselves. Let's find out what makes the OnePlus 10 Pro tick.

The Cameras

The camera system on the OnePlus 10 Pro is comprised of a custom-built 48 MP main camera with a Sony IMX789 sensor, a 8 MP telephoto camera offering a 3.3 X optical zoom that takes photos in 10-bit colour, and a 150 degree ultra-wide camera at the rear, which is the widest ultra-wide camera ever on a OnePlus device. The photos you take are 4 times wider than those captured by regular 120 degree ultra-wide cameras found in smartphones. It also supports a Fisheye mode that replicates the look for traditional fish-eye lenses offering a fresh perspective with every shot. Together, all three rear cameras can use the Hasselblad Pro Mode, allowing you to adjust parameters like ISO and white balance.

Selfie Camera Mode

Who doesn't love a good selfie camera! The OnePlus 10 Pro sports a 32 MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera with a 27 per cent wider field of view compared to the OnePlus 9 series.. The front camera also supports Nightscape mode, which allows you to take good selfies even in dimly lit environments. The camera is embedded with a front-facing sensor with benefits of skin colour calibration, ensuring that your skin tones appear natural in every shot.

Outstanding Colours

The OnePlus Billion Colour Solution allows for Natural Colour Calibration with Hasselblad to be applied to more than 1 billion colours, which means that each of the three rear cameras can shoot a photo in full 10-bit colour. This means that each photo you click will process 64 times more colour than smartphones that shoot in 8-bit colour. Furthermore, the OnePlus 10 Pro captures photos using the DCI-P3 colour gamut which offers 25 per cent more colour coverage than the sRGB colour gamut used in other smartphones.

Shoot like the Masters

You can pick from one of the three style filters – Serenity by Hasselblad Ambassador Yin Chao, Radiance by Hasselblad Masters winner Ben Thomas and Emerald by Hasselblad Masters winner David Peskens. Each of these can found in the ‘filters' menu of the Camera app and applied to photographs to take the output to professional level. While Serenity is best used for portraits, Radiance is better suited for stylised shots and Emerald is perfect for idyllic landscape shots.

The Videos

The Movie Mode in the OnePlus 10 Pro allows you to adjust the ISO, shutter speed and white balance, before and during filming and leverage the power of the Sony IMX789 sensor that allows you to record at 4K at up to 120 fps and in 8K at 24 fps. The smartphone also supports the Dual Video View where you can use both the front and rear cameras of the phone at the same time to record a 360-degree video.

Performance

The OnePlus 10 Pro is designed for the Pros and makes multitasking easier, the company said. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform under the hood accompanied by up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and has a re-architected Qualcomm Adreno GPU that makes it 25 percent more efficient that its predecessor. It comes with the best haptics in any OnePlus smartphone, powered by a new SLA X-axis linear motor.

Display and battery

It has a 6.7 inch Fluid AMOLED panel display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 10 pro is the world's first smartphone to launch with a TÜV SÜD 36-month fluency A rating, which enables the smartphone to deliver a smooth user experience for at least 3 years of usage, the company revealed. This is accentuated with OxygenOS 12, which has been designed to offer you an immersive and comfortable viewing experience. It has an improved 5000 mAh battery with a dual cell design – the largest ever inside a OnePlus flagship phone and a super-fast 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging system that powers the device within just 47 minutes.

Hyper Gaming

The phone packs the HyperBoost Gaming Engine, which lends it some new features like GPA Frame Stabilizer and O-Sync that are designed to offer a more stable and responsive gaming experience. A 5-layer 3D passive heat dissipation system is there to ensure the smartphone remains cool even after hours of intense gaming.

The smartphone comes in two colours – Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest.
