Xiaomi India launches Redmi 9A, prices start from ₹6,799
Xiaomi has announced the latest Redmi 9A as a part of their Redmi A series of smartphones today. The Redmi A series are a part of Xiaomi’s budget offerings that aim to get users the best of the specs without having to splurge.
Redmi 9A features a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It also comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification allowing better visibility in reading mode. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz which should be able to handle your day-to-day tasks and multi-tasking with ease.
The Redmi 9A is available in two variants, 2GB/32GB and 3GB/32GB. It also comes with a 2+1 dual SIM slot and a dedicated microSD card slot that allows expansion up to 512GB.
This smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery with ELB (Enhanced Battery Lifespan) and the company promises that the battery should last for 2.5-3 years.
On the camera front, the Redmi 9A comes with a 13MP AI camera on the rear with features such as AI Portrait mode, AI scene detection. It has a 5MP AI selfie camera on the front with AI portrait mode and face unlock support.
Besides the Redmi 9A, as a part of its Phone Plus strategy, Redmi has also launched the in-ear Redmi Earphones. The Redmi Earphones come with 10mm sound drivers and also feature an in-line mic to facilitate hands-free calling.
There is a multi-function button that enables call and music control from the earphones. Redmi Earphones are crafted from high-quality precision aluminium alloy and come with silicone earplugs. They are based on the 3.5mm standard and feature a 1.25m long cable.
Redmi 9A will be available in three colour variants, Nature Green, Sea Blue, Midnight Black in 2GB/32GB and 3GB/32GB storage variants and are priced at ₹6,799 and ₹7,499. You can buy them online and offline from mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting September 4.
The Redmi Earphones will be available in Black, Blue and Red for ₹399 on mi.com, Amazon India, Flipkart, Mi homes and Mi Studios from September 7.
