Xiaomi is rolling out the MIUI 12 update to Redmi Note 8 Pro in India

The Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched in October last year with the MIUI 10. Xiaomi followed it up with the MIUI 11 a month later. The smartphone is now getting the MIUI 12.

Redmi Note 8 Pro, which was launched last year in October, is now getting the latest MIUI 12 update. The smartphone had launched with the MIUI 10 and soon god the MIUI 11 upgrade within a month. The latest MIUI 12 update has started rolling out to the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

The Redmi Note 8 series is a part of the first lot of phones that are getting the MIUI 12 update as Xiaomi rolls it out to more of its devices. The MIUI 12 brings in a host of new features and was announced back in April this year.

Redmi Note 8 Pro users can now download the update on their phones. All you need to do is head over to Settings, click on ‘About phone'. Then you need to click on ‘System updates'. Here you will see the MIUI 12 V12.0.1.0 version and you just need to click on download.

The new MIUI 12 update will be rolling out to more devices soon but Xiaomi has not shared any further information on this yet.

The new MIUI 12 brings in a new UI experience with new system-wide animations. The new features here include enhanced privacy protection, an app drawer and better multi-tasking experience.

The Dark Mode has been upgraded as well and Xiaomi has added an ultra-battery saver option.

The MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in after the Xiaomi Mi 10, Redmi Note 9, and Poco X2, received the update. Reports have it that the Redmi Note 8 should also get the MIUI 12 update soon.
