Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra with 120x camera zoom, 120W fast charging launched alongside Redmi K30 Ultra

Mi 10 Ultra has 120x AI Super zoom (world’s first), 120Hz refresh rate and 120W fast charging – (another world’s first).

Launching a ‘world's first' mass produced transparent TV was just one part of the story for Xiaomi. The other part included two smartphones, one of which is the Mi 10 Ultra that has 120x AI Super zoom (world's first), 120Hz refresh rate and 120W fast charging – (another world's first). This powerful smartphone will be going on sale in mainland China starting August 16 

The 8GB+128GB variants costs RMB 5,299 (base price) while the 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB are priced at RMB 5,599, RMB 5,999, and RMB 6,999 respectively.

The highlight of the Mi 10 Ultra is the rear camera setup that includes a periscope lens with 120x ultra-zoom ability, 4-in-1 pixel binning, OIS, EIS and 5P lens. This comes in addition to a 12-megapixel portrait camera, custom manufactured 48-megapixel 1/1.32-inch super sensor with 8P lens, OIS, EIS, and a 20-megapixel 128-degree ultra-wide angle camera with 7P 12mm equivalent lens, which can be used for macro shots as well. Furthermore, there's a laser autofocus and a flicker sensor. Xiaomi even touts that its Mi 10 Ultra is now the highest ranked smartphone as per DxO Mark with 130 points.

The second highlight of the smartphone is the 120W Mi Turbo Charge fast charging, that can fill a 4500mAh battery by 41% in 5 minutes and 100% in 23 minutes. This is also the first phone in the world to feature this tech along side 120x zoom. Adding to this is 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging tech. The smartphone is also the first to feature graphene-based Li-ion battery, adopts 34 internal charging safety measures and has TUV Rheinland 3.0 certification for fast charging.

The third highlight of the Mi 10 Ultra is its display and processor. The smartphone boasts of a 6.67-inch curved OLED display that reaches 800 nits brightness and has 5000000:1 contrast ratio. You also get 10bit color depth support and 120Hz refresh rate with 240 touch sampling rate. Powering it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.

This will be available in three colours - Obsidian Black, Mercury Silver and Transparent Edition.

Redmi K30 Ultra price and specs

Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra, which launched along side the Mi 10 Ultra also features fairly good set of specifications. It has a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and same contrast ratio as the Mi 10 Ultra. There's a 360-degree ambient light sensor as well. Powered by a rather new and powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G processor, the handset comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM options along with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage versions. 

On the camera front you get a 64-megapixel primary sensor along with a 13-megapixel, 5megapixel and a 2-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, telemacro and depth sensors. At the front, there is a pop up 20-megapixel camera with 120fps slos motion ability and notification colour. 

Backing the entire handset is the 4500mAh battery with 33 watts fast charge. Some extra features include dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack and Audio zoom.

The K30 Ultra comes in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 8GB+512GB variants that are priced at RMB 1,999, RMB 2,199, RMB 2,499 and RMB 2,699 respectively.
