Xiaomi is launching the Mi 11 Ultra smartphone in India on April 23. Mi 11 Ultra is Xiaomi's flagship smartphone with features such as a secondary AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 processor and up to 16GB of RAM. Xiaomi is known to offer smartphones at affordable prices even in the premium segment. But it might not follow suit this time with the Mi 11 Ultra.

According to a report by Gadgets 360, Mi 11 Ultra will start at over 70,000 in India. This would make the Mi 11 Ultra the most expensive Xiaomi phone in India till date. It also puts the Mi 11 Ultra's pricing close to the Galaxy S21 series and iPhone 12 series. The report adds that the initial units of the phone will be sourced from China which will lead to high import duty rates on its price.

In China, Mi 11 Ultra starts at CNY 5,999 ( 67,000 approx) for the base model. With a starting price of more than 70,000, Xiaomi is expected to face backlash from consumers even if the phone does boast worthy specifications.

Mi 11 Ultra features a secondary 1.1-inch AMOLED Always On display at the back. This screen works as a viewfinder for the rear camera, and it also displays call notifications, time, battery level and more. It has a 6.81-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED display up front with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.

It comes in three RAM options of 8GB, 12GB and 16GB, and internal storage of 256GB. Mi 11 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, 67W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.
