Xiaomi is known to offer smartphones at affordable prices even in the premium segment. But it might not follow suit this time with the Mi 11 Ultra.
According to a report by Gadgets 360, Mi 11 Ultra will start at over ₹70,000 in India. This would make the Mi 11 Ultra the most expensive Xiaomi phone in India till date. It also puts the Mi 11 Ultra’s pricing close to the Galaxy S21 series and iPhone 12 series. The report adds that the initial units of the phone will be sourced from China which will lead to high import duty rates on its price.
In China, Mi 11 Ultra starts at CNY 5,999 ( ₹67,000 approx) for the base model. With a starting price of more than ₹70,000, Xiaomi is expected to face backlash from consumers even if the phone does boast worthy specifications.
