NASA has warned that another asteroid is on its way towards Earth. The asteroid, named Asteroid 2022 TV, is already on its way towards Earth and will make its closest approach to the planet tomorrow, October 8, at a distance of just 2.4 million kilometers. (Pixabay)

This 54-foot asteroid is already speeding towards Earth at nearly 66960 kilometers per hour. According to the-sky.org, Asteroid 2022 TV was discovered less than a week ago on October 2. It belongs to the Apollo group of asteroids which are found in the main asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars. The asteroid takes 871 days to orbit the Sun during which its maximum distance from the Sun is 443 million kilometers and minimum distance is 91 million kilometers. (Pixabay)

NASA also has a NEO Surveyor mission planned for launch in 2026 to gain even greater in-depth data using a new orbiter.
