(Aisle/Anbe) ![Author Photo](https://images.hindustantimes.com/tech/static/revamp/images/png/HTTech-new-circle-logo.png) ### By HT TECH After launching Arike, a vernacular dating app for Malayalees, in March this year, Aisle has now come up with Anbe. Anbe is a dating app for the Tamil community in India and abroad. This is the second vernacular dating app in the market right now and Aisle has said they have plans to roll out more such vernacular offerings over time. Anbe means ‘dear’ in Tamil and this app too sticks to Aisle’s core philosophy of trying to help singles from around the world find long-term relationships. While Aisle caters to all English-speaking singles, Anbe and Arike are focused on Tamil and Malayalam-speaking users globally. As the company explains it, Anbe is meant for Tamil singles between 21 and 40 and offers them a platform to interact and form meaningful relationships. The Anbe app comes with a bunch of special features designed specifically for the Tamil-speaking community like icebreakers from Tamil pop culture. It also has “Audio Invites” along with your regular invites which allow users to share more personalised invitations with others. This is especially true the further away you get from urban centres, where English isn’t the predominant language. After the successful launch of Arike, a vernacular platform that caters to Malayalee users, we knew that we were onto something special,” said Able Joseph, Founder and CEO, Aisle. “The rapid growth in the number of Aisle users from Tamil Nadu made it obvious what our next vernacular app should be. With this launch, we will further strengthen Aisle’s reputation as a global leader in high-intent matchmaking. We’ll continue to build on this platform and launch vernacular-focused apps tailored to various states and regions,” he added. Anbe is hoping to offer an alternative to traditional matrimonial websites and is looking to acquire 1 million users in the first year of operations.
