Ahead of iPhone 13 launch event, Apple Store goes down
- iPhone 13 launch event is set to go live in just hours and Apple Store has gone down.
We are just a few hours away from the iPhone 13 launch. And ahead of the official unveiling Apple Store has gone down. It happens every year -- to refresh the home page and add the latest products to the Apple Store, the company brings down its official online store ahead of launch. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 13 series, Apple Watch Series 7 and AirPods 3 in India. The iPhone 13 lineup could include the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The iPhone 13 Pro models are said to have a 1TB storage option. The iPhone 13 series is tipped to finally catch up with their Android counterparts and feature a 120Hz high refresh rate. There are some contradicting reports, however, which claim that the high refresh rate could be limited to the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple is said to be using LTPO displays on its upcoming phones.
Moreover, the iPhone 13 lineup could come equipped with a new design on the front. While the overall look and feel is rumoured to remain the same, we could see a smaller notch. That being said, there is no hope for the return of TouchID. Plus, the 2021 iPhones could sport a better camera system that will have support for video portrait mode to blur the background in videos. Apple is tipped to be prepping to produce 130–150 million iPhone units in the second half of the year. The iPhone 13 lineup might come with a laser imaging, detection, and ranging (LiDAR) sensor as well. For reference, the LiDAR sensor is limited to the iPhone 12 Pro models as of now.
On the other hand, the Apple Watch Series 7 is tipped to come in new sizes of 41mm and 45mm. It could feature an all-new design inspired by the iPhone 12's flat sides. Further, the device could come with a faster processor as well as include a flatter display. While a report earlier said that the Watch 7 won't have any big health upgrades “until at least next year,” the Nikkei report says that the upcoming wearable will add new features “such as blood pressure measurement.”
