Amazon Prime Music on Wednesday announced the launch of podcasts in India. Podcasts will be available to all Amazon Prime members at no additional cost on the Prime Music app. Amazon debuted podcasts on its music streaming platform last year in September, and it is now here in India.

Amazon will offer local popular shows including On Purpose with Jay Shetty, Ted Talks Daily, and The Daily Mastery Podcast by Robin Sharma. It will feature local shows from more creators including Cyrus Broacha, Neil Bhatt, Sadhguru, and Anupam Gupta. Prime members will also have access to international Amazon Originals produced exclusively for Amazon Prime Music customers. There will be over nine million podcast episodes available in multiple languages and of different genres like motivation, business, technology, comedy, music, and fitness.

Needless to say, podcasts will have support for Amazon Alexa. So users can simply ask, “Alexa, play On Purpose with Jay Shetty” or “Alexa, play last week's episode of Ted Talks Daily.” Podcasts can be streamed, and downloaded on the Amazon Prime Music app on Android and iOS, web browser, and Amazon Echo devices.
