Amazon’s Android app gets redesigned UI
It remains uncertain if the UI change is a part of a server-side update or Google Play Store update.
Amazon's Android and iOS-based apps in India offer a pretty standard user interface. But that is not the case with its apps elsewhere. Now, word is that the company has revamped the UI of its Android app in the US.
As per a report by Droid-Life, the company has made several changes to the older UI. For instance, the side menu is now a bottom navigation bar. The new UI now has home, profile, cart, and menu tabs that will help users to get to various sections in the app.
Amazon, as per the report, has also changed the font size of the text in some pages in the app such as the menu page. Similarly, the profile page now has curved buttons that is a sharp departure from the app's older design.
Additionally, the company has also revamped the Whole Foods and Fresh pages in the app. In the new UI, these pages have their own branding and colour scheme among other things.
That said, it remains uncertain if the UI change is a part of a server-side update or Google Play Store update. Amazon has started rolling out the new UI to its users. It should be available to all users soon.
