Angry Birds: Star Wars prequel teased

'Big news about a brand new game' is coming July 15, says 'Angry Birds' studio Rovio. 'We're talking the biggest character line-up ever, awesome new powers, and maybe even a few surprises.'

That might not mean 'Star Wars' prequel to most of us, but an accompanying image more or less gives the game away: a red bird wrapped in a tan cloth and goggles casts the shadow of Darth Vader. Hello Anakin Skywalker!

The first 'Angry Birds Star Wars' was released in November 2012 on iOS, Android, and Blackberry as well as Mac and Windows computers.

And in keeping with its predecessor, players should expect a new game to remain loyal to both 'Star Wars' and 'Angry Birds' convention.

'Angry Birds Star Wars' also integrated features from 'Angry Birds Space,' so will this new game give us a chance to play as the bad guys, as in series spin-off 'Bad Piggies'?
