Apple CEO responds to Haryana dentist's wife; THIS is what he says
Apple CEO Tim Cook has responded to Haryana dentist’s wife after she wrote about how an Apple Watch saved her husband’s wife.
We recently came across an incident where an Apple Watch played a key role in saving a Haryana dentist's life. A timely ECG monitoring made Nitesh Chopra and his wife Neha quickly consult the doctor, and soon after, the husband was diagnosed with a blocked artery. The treatment was done and Nitesh got a new lease of life. Soon after, his wife Neha wrote a note to Apple CEO Tim Cook, thanking him for the gadget that helped saved her husband's life.
And now, Cook has responded to that email. In his response to Neha's note, Cook says, “I'm very glad you sought clinical evaluation and received the care you desired. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Have a good day. Best wishes, Tim”.
While Nitesh continues to use the Apple Watch Series 6, it is Neha who is now willing to purchase another Apple Watch in order to keep monitoring her health. Nitesh is, in fact, considering getting the new Apple Watch Series 7, which can also track ECG along with Blood Oxygen saturation monitoring.
Apple Watch saves the day
Nitesh, in the conversation with HT Tech, said that he initially assumed the Apple Watch was more of a fashion accessory and would be of less help in monitoring health. “I feel blessed. I can't express my gratitude. Initially I also used Apple Watch as a fashion accessory and to check time and my step count and could not imagine that one day it will save my life,” said Nitesh.
“Once we reached the hospital, the doctor did an ECG and we even compared it with the monitor. When I was in CCU, my wife and I are were continuously comparing our Apple Watch reading with the monitor and they were in sync.,” he said on the data accuracy of the ECG readings on his Apple Watch and the proper medical grade device.
The Apple Watch has been involved in countless similar stories, wherein its warning saved the person's life. At the moment, the Apple Watch Series 7 is the best one Apple makes, offering ECG tracking, SpO2 tracking, and the usual bunch of heart rate as well as sleep and stress tracking. The Apple Watch SE is the more affordable model with a smaller display and misses out on ECG as well as SpO2 tracking, but retains heart rate monitoring and other basic tracking features.
