Apple Stores will still require you to wear masks in the US
Target Corp has also decided not to relax the safety protocols at its stores.
Apple will require you to wear masks and follow other Covid-19 related safety measures as you enter its stores in the US.
The iPhone-maker, as per a Bloomberg report, has informed its retailers in the US that the mask mandate and other Covid-19 related safety protocol will remain in place for now. The company told the publication that its first priority is employee and customer safety and that it continues to evaluate health and safety measures in the country.
The decision follows fresh guidelines issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) wherein it said that fully vaccinated people could resume activities without masking. “Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance,” the agency said.
Following the fresh set of guidelines, a number of companies started easing off safety protocols at their stores. The list includes Walmart, Costco Wholesale Corp and Trader Joe’s among others. On the other hand, Apple is not alone in not relaxing Covid-19 safety measures at its stores. Target Corp has also decided not to relax the safety protocols at its stores.
