'Assassin's Creed Unity' returns to Steam platform
Upcoming titles "Assassin's Creed Unity," "Far Cry 4" and "The Crew" have returned to the Steam store in every region served apart from the UK, in repetition of a very similar situation from 2012.

Upcoming titles 'Assassin's Creed Unity,' 'Far Cry 4' and 'The Crew' have returned to the Steam store in every region served apart from the UK, in repetition of a very similar situation from 2012.
'We've been in discussions with Valve about Assassin's Creed Unity but for the time being the game is not available via Steam in the UK,' representatives from the game publishing giant had told PCGamesN about this week's time-hopping game.
'UK customers wishing to purchase it digitally can do so by visiting the Uplay store, our retail partners or other digital distributors.'
However, it emerged that the three big-name 2014 releases had been pulled from not only Steam's online store for UK users but from those in the rest of the world too.
That global change appears to have been made in error, as 'Assassin's Creed Unity,' 'Far Cry 4' (due the week of November 17) and 'The Crew' (November 30) were restored internationally, save for the UK.
Those within England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can still buy the games via other online stores or at bricks & mortar retail. So what's going on with that?
As Polygon observes, the situation mirrors that which saw 'Assassin's Creed III' arrive on the UK Steam store a good while after its official release date.
'We've been in discussions with Valve about 'Assassin's Creed 3' and 'Far Cry 3,' but for the time being the games are not available via Steam in the UK,' was the quote given in November 2012.
'In the meantime, UK customers wishing to purchase either of these games can do so by visiting the Uplay store, our retail partners or other digital distributors.'
Sounds familiar.
In that instance, 'Assassin's Creed III' materialized on the UK Steam store two weeks after being made available through other avenues.
