Asus launches ZenWatch 2 starting at Rs.11,999

Taiwanese electronics giant Asus on tuesday launched their next series of wearables -- the ZenWatch 2 -- at a starting price of 11,999 and the wearables will be available at domestic e-commerce player Flipkart's website and Asus exclusive stores.

The ZenWatch 2 comes in two sizes -- 1.63-inch and 1.45-inch for a price of 14,999 and 11,999. "Consumers today wish to use gadgets that make their lives simpler by aiding their hectic lifestyles. The ZenWatch 2 achieves this through its features that make it possible for the users to manage their lives right on their wrists," Peter Chang, region head - South Asia and country manager for Asus India, said.

The wearable, which comes with a Snapdragon 400 processor along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal memory, also has a Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

According to Asus, users can control the smartphone's camera through a viewfinder preview, gesture shutter and timer shutter, mute an incoming call on the smartphone by covering the ZenWatch with a palm, find the connected phone among other things like a business helper to quickly access upcoming agendas, mails, and call log.

The watch, which is also a fitness or activity tracker, using the fonehelper can also control phone settings like Wi-Fi, volume and hotspot.
