Asus is all set to take the cloth off its new Zenfone Zoom - a phone that is focused on photography and has optical zoom and a dedicated shutter button.
Expected to cost just short of ₹ 30,000, unlike most phones, the Zoom supports 3X optical zoom. Behind the lens is a 13-megapixel Pixelmaster camera known to take great pictures even in low lit areas. It runs Android Lollipop with Zen UI which can be a bit sluggish at times.
The Zoom, which comes with an Intel Atom Processor and 3 GB of RAM, despite packing optical zoom and optical image stabilisation, is just 12 millimetres thick. It will also include a 5.5 inch full HD display. It has a faux leather back and fast charging that promises to take 3 times the less time to get to full charge.
The launch will take place at Agra and Asus is expected to offer the phone in two variants — 64 GB of internal storage and 128 GB of internal storage. You can add more storage with a microSD card too.
