Asus Zenfone Max has a 5,000mAh battery that doubles as a power bank

Unveiled last month, Asus has now officially launched the Asus ZenFone Max in India. The latest addition to the Zenfone series, smartphone is now available with both online and offline retailers. Priced at 9,999, the main highlight of the device is its massive 5000mAh battery, which the company claims works as makeshift power bank for other devices — which means you can actually use this phone to charge other devices. It can deliver up to 914 hours of standby time and upto 38 hours of talk time, according to the company.

Other specifications on the phone include a 5.5 inch HD IPS display, a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor bundled with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of in-built storage expandable upto 64GB via microSD slot, while optics include a 13 MP rear camera and a 5MP camera housed on the front. Connectivity options o the device include 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. In addition, it also features a slew of sensors such as accelerometer, compass, proximity, and ambient light sensors.
