Tata Tiago EV unveiled in India; Know when bookings will start. (Reuters)

Tata Motors has expanded its electric cars lineup with the new Tiago EV. The company’s electric vehicle (EV) portfolio includes the Tigor EV and Nexon EV. The new Tiago EV was unveiled in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The bookings for the new electric [car](http://tech.hindustantimes.com/tags/car) will start next month, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in January 2023. The new Tiago EV appears to have the same basic exterior design as the ICE-powered Tiago car. Check out the key specs, price, features and specs.

### Tata Tiago EV price

The Tiago EV has been launched as the most affordable electric model in Tata Motors' portfolio. It is launched at a starting price of 8.49 lakh while the Tigor EV begins at ₹ 12.49 (ex-showroom) and the flagship Nexon EV priced at ₹ 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). ### Tata Tiago EV Features

The new Tata Tiago EV has a permanent magnet synchronous motor (24 kW version) which produces 73.7 bhp and 114 nm of torque as well as another 19.2 kW version that produces 60.3 bhp and 110 nm of torque. There are two drive modes - City and Sport. Each mode has four different levels of regen settings available.

Further it also has a range of new and modern features like auto-headlamps, electric ORVMs with auto-fold, cruise control, an 8-speaker [Harman](http://tech.hindustantimes.com/tags/harman) infotainment system with [Apple](http://tech.hindustantimes.com/mobile-finder/apple) CarPlay and [Android Auto](http://tech.hindustantimes.com/tags/android-auto). There is also digital instrument cluster, auto headlamps, leatherette seats, i-TPMS, smartwatch connectivity, electric tailgate (open) automatic climate control as standard, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start/stop, cooled glovebox, projector headlamps, and much more.

Apart from these, the company has claimed that the newly launched electric vehicle will offer 80% charging in 57 minute. It has been launched in two variants - 24kWh [battery](http://tech.hindustantimes.com/tags/battery) and 19.2 kWh battery.
