Initially slated to launch this fall, then postponed to January 2015, the last game in Rocksteady's 'Batman Arkham' trilogy is now due for release on June 2, 2015.
To soften the blow of the delay, Warner Bros Interactive announced that 'Batman: Arkham Knight' will be offered in two collector editions for PS4 and Xbox One. The Limited Edition ($99.99) will include an art book, a SteelBook cover, a zero issue of DC Comic, three exclusive New 52 character skins and a 10-inch Batman figurine.
The pricier Batmobile Edition ($199.99) includes all of the above except for the Batman figurine, which is replaced by a transformable Batmobile statue.
For this latest title in the series, Rocksteady Studios has left behind the multi-player element seen in last year's 'Batman: Origins' to focus on developing the single-player experience. Scarecrow heads up the band of villains, which includes Two-Face, Harley Quinn and Penguin among others.
Kevin Conroy, who voiced the Dark Knight in 'Batman: Arkham Asylum' and 'Batman: Arkham City,' will return as the character in this latest title. The actor has worked with Warner Bros as the voice of Batman on its animated series since the early 1990s.
