BlackBerry launches two ‘secure’Android smartphones starting at ₹21,990
Canandian hanset-maker Blackberry on Monday launched two smartphones -- DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 -- priced at ₹21,990 and ₹46,990 respectively.


Canandian hanset-maker Blackberry on Monday launched two smartphones -- DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 -- priced at ₹21,990 and ₹46,990 respectively.
While the DTEK50 will be available from Saturday, the DTEK 60 will hit shelves in December. The company also announced partnership with Optiemus, a Delhi-based telecom enterprise, to distribute and promote BlackBerry handsets in the market.
"India is a very important market for BlackBerry and now we have tied up with Optiemus Infracom that strengthens our network of key partners in India and will enabls us to deliver our secure BlackBerry Android experience to more customers," Alex Thurber, senior vice president, global device sales, BlackBerry, said.
In terms of specifications, the 50 features a 5.2-inch fHD display, 3GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera with LED flash. The device has 2TB of expandable memory and draws power from a 2,610 mAh battery.
On the other hand, the 60 sports a 5.5-inch quad-HD display, 4GB RAM, 21-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera. The 60 draws power from a 3,000mAh battery and also sports a fingerprint sensor.
