Among the services that Citibank account holders will not be able to use are internet banking, wallet and RTGS. Citibank said that it will be deliberately shutting down these netbanking services in order to "help serve you better". Notably, during the pandemic netbanking has become extremely popular across the country as most bank transactions can be done from the safety of the home and any down-time from the lender will cause inconvenience to account holders. ## When will Citibank net banking not be available? Citibank net banking will not be available during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. ## How long will Citibank net banking be down? Citibank netbanking service service will remain down and out for a minimum of 9 hours. Also read click here. ## What time will Citibank net banking go down? Citibank net banking services will be down from 9:30 pm (October 16) to 6:30 am (October 17). ## What did Citibank says about its net banking services going down? In its notification to Citibank account holders regarding its netbanking services, the lender said, “Please be informed that our systems are undergoing a scheduled maintenance from 09:30 PM IST on 16th Oct to 6:30 AM IST on 17th Oct, 2021 to help serve you better." ## What are the specific services that will be affected and time? 1. The online and mobile services will be down between 1 am and 2 am on October 17 2. RTGS services will be down between 2:30 am to 6:30 am on October 17. 3. The IVR self-service will be down between 9:30 pm on October 16 to 12:30 am on October 17. 4. The credit card services will not be available between 9:30 pm on October 16 to 1:30 am on October 17. It is advisable that account holders not try to access these services throughout the entire period as things can go wrong and these will lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety. However, in case of any discrepancy during transactions,m account holders can raise the issue through proper official channels provided by Citibank. Meanwhile, Bloomberg reports that Citigroup Inc. is facing tough odds as it tries to persuade an appeals court that disgruntled Revlon Inc. creditors should give back more than half a billion dollars the bank accidentally sent them last year. A trio of federal judges in Manhattan will hear arguments from both sides on Wednesday as it weighs a lower court’s surprise decision that the lenders can keep the money -- a decision Citigroup’s main banking unit calls a misapplication of the law that sent “shockwaves through the markets.” Citibank, which sued the lenders for the money last year, could get the decision overturned, but it won’t be easy, said Bloomberg Intelligence senior litigation analyst Elliott Stein. It would require the appeals panel to dial back the lenders’ key legal defense “in a way that undermines finality in business transactions and shifts responsibility for catching errors to creditors,” he said.
