Chinese handset-maker Coolpad launched its next smartphone - Note 3 Lite - priced at 6,999, as it announced its Make-in-India plans.

The Note 3 Lite has a five-inch HD display, fingerprint sensor which helps lock apps, start recording and help take photos or selfies. The Note 3 Lite is the cheapest fingerprint sensor carrying device in the country.

The dual 4G-supported phone sports a MediaTek 6735 quad-core processor and a 3GB DDR 3 RAM. The internal memory of the phone is 16GB expandable to 64GB with USB-OTG support.

The Note 3 Lite, which runs on Android Lollipop and draws power from a 2,500 mAH battery, sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and five-megapixel front camera.

The new smartphone will be available on flash sale basis only on Amazon.in. The company said that the first sale will be on January 28 and users can start registering from Friday.

Coolpad, who has partnered with HCL for after sales service, will see its phones serviced at 240 locations across 90 cities.
