I am heartbroken by the current situation in India. I'm grateful the U.S. government is mobilizing to help. Microsoft will continue to use its voice, resources, and technology to aid relief efforts, and support the purchase of critical oxygen concentration devices.

The US recently confirmed that it is "immediately" making vaccination raw materials to scale up production of the Covishield coronavirus vaccine. This was confirmed by the US president Joe Biden on Twitter as well. “Just as India sent assistance to the United States as our hospitals were strained early in the pandemic, we are determined to help India in its time of need,” Biden quoted a tweet by White House National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan.
In his tweet, Sullivan stated that he spoke to National Security Advisor Ajit Doval about the spike in COVID cases in India and has decided to help the country with resources.
