After announcing Crysis 3 for early 2013 and revealing its first images on April 16, European software house Crytek now has a teaser video for the game, clocking in at 19 seconds long.
In truth, not more than half of that can be classified as footage from the game, but the clip sets up a longer video due to debut on Tuesday 24.
The PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title once more sets an elite super soldier against an army of invading aliens and their high tech armory of weapons -- though the earth's military defense force has a few tricks up its own sleeve.
Crysis 3 also suggests that Crytek will combine the jungle warfare of Crysis and its predecessor FarCry with the urban environment of New York, as seen in Crysis 2, now commandeered by a hostile megacorp and in a state of ruin.
While publisher Electronic Arts is partnering with Crytek for Crysis 3, Ubisoft retained the rights to FarCry and have FarCry 3 due September 2012, charting its own course by pitting a tropical holidaymaker against an archipelago of hostile and heavily armed sociopaths.
