An incontrovertible success on iPad, the online card game 'Hearthstone' from 'World of Warcraft' studio Blizzard is now available for Android tablets.
Free to play with optional payments for extra material -- new adventures and expansion packs, plus access to a competitive arena -- the game has been available on Windows PCs, Macs and the iPad format since January, with a full release made in March, and a recent December update pushing it back into iTunes' top grossing charts around the world.
The Android version requires a 6-inch display on a device with 1GB of RAM running on Android 4.0 or higher and is being pushed out to players in Australia, Canada and New Zealand via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore with a full international roll-out scheduled for 'the coming days.'
Those who want to play on smaller-screened devices needn't feel left out for too long, as Blizzard is also planning on an early 2015 announcement regarding Android and iPhone phones, even if its arrival is a little later than originally envisaged at Blizzard's annual convention back in November 2013.
